Are you a Maths Teacher looking for a new challenge and to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to make a real difference in the lives of students who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. Based in Central London, this Pupil Referral Unit is seeking a Maths Teacher who thrives in a challenging yet rewarding environment. You will join a committed and skilled team that shares a common goal of empowering young people to flourish, develop independence, and lead fulfilling lives.

About the Pupil Referral Unit

The PRU provides alternative education for students in Key Stage 1 - Key Stage 5 who are unable to access mainstream education. As a Teacher working at the PRU, you will benefit from smaller class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio, allowing for tailored learning, focusing on helping students achieve essential qualifications. The PRU has experienced and dedicated SEN specialist teachers, behaviour mentors, therapists and other professionals that you will be working alongside.

The Ideal Teacher for this role

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge 
  • Has experience working with pupils who present with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs
  • Bring a calm, patient and resilient approach 
  • Committed to a trauma-informed and person-centred approach 
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
