Some children find aspects of school challenging. They may need help to stay focused, communicate, or feel settled in their learning environment. With the right support, every child can grow in confidence and achieve their potential. This role places you at the centre of that support.
About the School
This welcoming and nurturing primary school in Havering is known for its warm community ethos and commitment to helping every child feel safe, valued, and understood. The school provides a calm and structured environment that allows pupils to learn at their own pace and build independence.
You will be supporting a lovely Year 3 pupil on a one to one basis, working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider pastoral team to create meaningful progress each day.
What You Will Do
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with additional needs
Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation within a calm and structured classroom
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Encourage positive engagement, confidence, and participation in daily activities
Contribute to a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive
Who You Are
Experienced in supporting children with SEND or keen to develop your skills in this area
Patient, nurturing, and able to build trusting relationships
Calm and reliable, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
Open to guidance, reflective, and motivated to make a meaningful impact
