About the Pupil The pupil has an Education Health and Care Plan and benefits from consistent, structured support throughout the school day. She is bright and capable but requires calm guidance, clear routines, and firm yet nurturing boundaries to maintain focus and confidence. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored strategies and provide consistent support in line with the pupil’s needs. This team provides care and guidance for vulnerable young people, helping them re-engage with learning and life through consistent, nurturing support. In this role, you will work with young people who have been out of education for significant periods and may not yet be ready to return to a mainstream school. Over two terms, you will support them through induction, assessment, and transition, offering stability, guidance, and therapeutic support as they take their next steps. Many of the young people you will work with have social emotional and mental health needs or Autism Spectrum Condition, alongside challenges linked to trauma, exploitation, or adverse experiences. You will build meaningful relationships, support emotional regulation, and provide interventions that empower them to progress at their own pace.
