Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs?

We are working with a specialist SEMH and ASC school seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic primary teacher to join their SEMH provision. They work across two provisions, which are between primary and secondary catering for students with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, behavioural needs, ASC and ADHD. This role is teaching at their primary provision supporting them to thrive academically and emotionally.

About the role:

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching to pupils with SEMH needs in the primary key stages.

  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and promote emotional well-being.

  • Support pupils in developing resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.

  • Engage with families and carers as part of a holistic approach to pupil development.

The requirements for the role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in SEMH and/or ASC settings.

  • Understanding of the complex needs of children with SEMH.

  • Patient, flexible, and creative with a passion for specialist education.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusion.

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Islington January 2026 We are supporting a mainstream school in Islington who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil who will be moving from a Pupil Referral Unit through an EHCP consultation to the mainstream setting. There is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child transitioning from a PRU to a mainstream environment. The pupil has SEMH needs and a diagnosis of ASC. Someone with a nurturing but boundary-ed approach, with knowledge of trauma and informed practice, is really important. The Role Providing consistent nurturing support while maintaining clear boundaries. Applying trauma-informed practices to promote emotional well-being and engagement. Supporting the pupil in class, during structured activities, and unstructured times such as break and lunch. Helping the pupil build confidence, resilience, and independence. Depending on experience If you are a resilient person who is looking for a new, challenging role supporting young people with behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs, then this is the role for you! We are working with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in central London that are seeking passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their experienced team. The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who may be on a short-term or longer-term placement as they are not able to attend mainstream education. This will be due to their challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and can be other additional needs.
