Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist setting supporting children and young people with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
This role is ideal for a qualified SLT with a strong paediatric background who is confident leading communication provision in a therapeutic school environment. You will work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and have external clinical supervision in place from the start.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group therapy interventions for children with complex communication needs
Contribute to and advise on EHCPs, assessments, and annual reviews
Collaborate closely with teachers, OTs, and support staff using a fully integrated therapeutic approach
Develop whole-school communication strategies
Advise on AAC, social communication, and inclusive classroom practice
Requirements:
HCPC registration (essential)
Minimum Band 6 level experience in paediatrics
Strong knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
School-based experience desirable but not essential
