About the Role

SEMH Teacher – Small Specialist Provision – Richmond

Full-Time | September 2025 Start | Open to Qualified and Unqualified Teachers | PAYE Only

£185 - £250 PAYE per day

If you’re looking for a teaching role where your impact is truly felt, this might be the setting you’ve been searching for.

A small SEMH specialist provision is building something extraordinary in a quiet part of Richmond. Here, the focus isn’t just on education – it’s on rebuilding trust, restoring confidence, and helping every young person feel safe enough to learn again.

This is a school for pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, but most students are learning at a primary level. Many have experienced disrupted education and present with a combination of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), Autism, and ADHD. They need teachers who can look past behaviour and see the child beneath – teachers who believe in second chances and have the patience to make them work.

You’ll be part of a close-knit, passionate team within a provision that is part of one of the UK’s most respected SEND multi-academy trusts. The setting is small now, but it’s growing, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow with it.

What to expect:

  • Full-time teaching role starting September 2025
  • Delivering the national curriculum at primary level to KS3/KS4 students
  • Working in a trauma-informed, therapeutic, and emotionally supportive environment
  • Exceptional support from experienced staff and a trust that prioritises inclusive education
  • Strong relationships with families, support staff, and external agencies

We welcome applications from:

  • Qualified Teachers with experience in SEMH, Autism, and ADHD
  • Unqualified Teachers with proven success in specialist or alternative education
  • Individuals with a creative, flexible, and nurturing approach
  • Those looking to build a long-term career within a specialist SEND setting

Why this school?

  • A rare chance to help shape a growing provision from the ground up
  • Low student numbers and excellent staff-to-student ratios
  • Collaborative and emotionally intelligent school leadership
  • Access to ongoing CPD and reflective practice training
  • A genuinely supportive and values-led culture
