About the Role

MS Primary - Hackney - SEN Learning Support Assistant - Long Term or Temp2Perm 

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £95 - £100 PAYE 

Mon-Fri (Term Time Only) 8am - 4pm 

The School 

I am working with a lovely school based a short walk from Haggerston train station in the London Borough of Hackney. This school is highly thought of in the area and is Ofsted Outstanding, is a two form entry holding 420 students. They are an extremely professional school that holds their students and their staff to a high standard, offering a very large outdoor space for all of their children to play in when not in lessons. With a ARP (autism resource provision) holding 10 students, EYFS classes and SEN children in MS classes they require more support. 

The Role 

I am looking for SEN Learning Support Assistants that would happily work in MS lessons supporting a variety of children that may require extra support due to additional needs as well as SEN Learning Support Assistants that will work in the ARP doing group work with students that display; autism, non-verbal/pre-verbal, sensory needs, and moderate learning difficulties. 

Experience Required 

  • Experience within a Primary School setting is beneficial but not essential. 
  • Experience with children in some form of work or volunteering capacity (essential) 
  • Experience working with children that have additional needs (essential)
  • First Aid Trained (essential ideally but can be offered to the right candidates from the school)
  • GCSE, A-Levels or University Qualifications to a high standard 
  • Pro-Active, professional and personable 
  • Ability to build great rapport with students, parents and other members of staff
