About the Role

SEMH Primary Teacher

Alternative Provision – Enfield
MPS–UPS3 Outer London | Full time | Temp to Perm

Working as a primary school teacher, your days will be filled with purpose. You already understand that relationships matter. Creating a place for children to thrive takes work and understanding, yet reaching those children who need the most support is often impossible in a class of 30 children. You’re spread too thin. You are starting to lose sight of the reason you entered the teaching profession in the first place. Perhaps it’s time to consider a role in which you can impact the lives of the children who require it the most.

We are working with a specialist SEMH and ASC provision who are looking for a compassionate, grounded and resilient Primary Teacher to join their primary setting. This is a school for children who have found mainstream education overwhelming, unsuitable or emotionally unsafe. Pupils who deserve consistency, understanding and teachers who see past behaviour to the child underneath.

This is a place where small class sizes (up to eight pupils) allow relationships to flourish. Where success is measured not only in academic progress but in trust built, confidence restored and milestones celebrated. Where every child receives a curriculum shaped around their individual strengths, challenges and emotional needs.

You may already have experience working within SEMH. You may simply have the heart for it. The calm, the curiosity, the flexibility and the belief that every child can thrive when they feel safe.

What matters is your willingness to understand behaviour as communication, to work creatively, and to be part of a team who refuse to give up on their pupils.

If you are ready for a role that challenges you, grows you and gives you the chance to change a child’s story, we would love to hear from you.
