About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant
A mainstream primary school in Haringey are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support two boys who will be entering year 5 in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1:1 support to children SEND and to build trusting relationships.
You will be supporting two pupils, one with dyslexia and one with ODD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Both can present behavioural challenges, so they are looking for someone who is confident and able to set clear boundaries, but also has a caring approach.
They are looking for someone who can be a positive role model to these boys, offering consistency and support.
Key Requirements:

Experience supporting children with dyslexia (or willingness to undertake training)

Experience supporting children with SEND, or have a true passion to

Ability to manage behavioural challenges

Strong communication skills.

Patient and nurturing approach

Able to build trusting relationships and be a strong role model
