All pupils have an ECHP and this campus will cater to students with Autism and moderate learning difficulties. This campus is attached as part of a larger school catering to students with PMLD, SLD, Autism and Social and Emotional needs.

We are looking for teachers with recent and successful class teaching experience who have high expectations of what children and young people with learning disabilities and autism can achieve. Experience of teaching pupils with learning disabilities and / or autism in a special school is desirable, but our school are very supportive for any mainstream teachers looking to transition into a specialist setting. Are you a Qualified Teacher with experience teaching students with ASC?
We here at Parker Smith are working with a wonderful primary school that are seeking a teacher to teach within the autism provision. Within this role, you will teach a small class of students whilst supported by two SEN TAs. This will be mostly through play-based and activity-based learning.
The school has various facilities and resources to support teachers with their lessons. The headteacher speaks with all staff to ensure they are happy and have the support they need. This is a lovely place to work that feels like a family.

I work with a therapeutic SEN school in Chelmsford, and the school is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children in Key Stages 3 and 4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. Role Overview
As a Nurture Teacher, you will empower the students in key stage 3 to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will craft engaging lessons tailored to meet individual children's needs, foster a positive classroom culture, and utilise therapeutic approaches to support emotional regulation and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver dynamic and individualised lessons for Key Stage 3 students with SEMH, including PTSD, ADHD, and attachment disorder; some children have additional needs such as Autism / ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and mild Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN). Many children will have mild to moderate learning difficulties.
Implement nurturing and therapeutic strategies to create a supportive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised learning plans.
Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
Experience working with children with SEMH and/or Autism
