About the Role

Are you a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assisant who is not feeling fulfilled in your role because of the lack of support and opportunities?

Arriving at the specialist SEND school, you will instantly feel at ease with the welcoming staff and warm environment.

The school caters for students in Key Stage 3 for children with complex needs. The classroom offers a wealth of experience with five members of staff including, the class teacher, an experienced HLTA and three SEN teaching assistants. You won’t be short of support and resources.

The senior leadership is very supportive of all support staff, and you will be treated the same as a permanent member from your first day.

Your career is as important to the school as it is to you. The school is keen for support staff to pursue professional development. They can offer help and training in becoming a level 4 qualified HLTA if you don't already have this or help with teacher training and apprenticeship programmes.

Wellbeing and Safeguarding Officer Central London Full Time - Long term Are you passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs? We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Central London that caters for students from primary to year 11 across two sites,. The school provides short- and long-term placements for young people unable to attend mainstream education due to behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional diagnoses such as ASC and ADHD. They are seeking a Wellbeing and Safeguarding Officer to join their team, delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring interventions to students in Key Stage 3. The ideal candidate will already have experience mentoring and supporting young people with behavioural, social and emotional needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted intervention and mentoring sessions to support emotional well-being and behaviour. Build positive relationships to help students develop resilience and coping strategies. Work with staff and external agencies to create personalised support plans. Monitor progress and encourage engagement in learning. Requirements: Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or in a PRU/SEN setting. About The School; We are working with a post-16 SEN school based in North London that caters for students aged 16 to 25 with an EHCP. The school supports young people with a range of SEND, including ASC, SEMH, Speech, Language, and Communication Needs, and other disabilities. They offer various programs to support these students, including a two-year Six Form for school leavers and other programmes and services. The school helps students develop life skills, embrace independence and prepare for the next steps in education or employment.
