Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit that is looking for a lead English Teacher to join them as soon as possible.

This school educates children and young people with undiagnosed SEN and SEMH needs, including Autism and ADHD. It prides itself on its small class sizes, ensuring that every student receives the individualised support they need to excel. Its priority is also keeping children safe in education.

The school provides a highly personalised and purposeful curriculum that enables pupils to participate in a wide range of academic, creative, sporting, and vocational learning opportunities and activities.

 

Requirements for the Lead English Teacher position

  • Have successfully completed teacher training (holding either QTS, QTLS or being within your four years as an OTT - PLEASE NOTE - this role is not suitable for FE trained teachers without QTLS or unqualified teachers) 
  • Have experience teaching English & Literacy 
  • Have proven teaching & learning experience
  • Ideally have proven leadership experience
  • Have the energy, passion & drive to raise standards
  • Ideally, you will have experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs however this role could suit someone who is looking to transition from mainstream education into a specialised environment
