We are working with a lovely specialist school based in Central London who are looking to recruit a Science Teacher. This role would suit a Science Teacher who is looking for their next challenge or someone who is wanting to explore and specialise in a special educational setting. This role would suit colleagues from a range of teaching backgrounds including mainstream and specialist settings.
The school aims to provide the highest quality education to students with special educational needs. The school caters for a range of special education needs, primarily high-functioning autism, anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). All students will be able to follow a differentiated National Curriculum, with the aim of achieving a range of recognised qualifications at Key Stage 4 and 5 including Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSEs and other Level 2 qualifications.
Requirements for the role
- Have successfully completed teacher training (holding either QTS, QTLS or be within your four years as an OTT - PLEASE NOTE - this role is not suitable for FE trained teachers without QTLS or unqualified teachers)
- Have experience teaching Science
- Have proven teaching & learning experience
- Have the energy, passion & drive to raise standards
- Ideally you will have experience working with students with SEND including ASD
