Do you have experience working with children with Autism and looking to work in a specialist school?
An outstanding specialist school for children with ASD based in Enfield is seeking bubbly and energetic ASD Teaching Assistants to join its wonderful team. The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships with pupils using fun and motivating approaches. The candidate must have an understanding of autism and be able to understand total communication methods.

What to expect working as an ASD Teaching Assistant
Supporting children with autism
A long term contract, working for the whole academic year with the prospect of becoming a permanent member of the staff
Continuous CPD training for all SEN Teaching Assistants, including: Phonics, Makaton, PECs, Colourful Semantics etc
The ability to work in a highly supported staff team within a fantastic specialist school
Gain the opportunity to make a huge difference to the social and emotional development of a SEN child as a 1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant.
Requirements for an ASD Teaching Assistant
Previous experience supporting children with ASD, this can also be personal experience.
Proactive and positive about making a difference to children’s development and wellbeing
Excel at building relationships with both students and staff
Follow clear instructions and able to use your initiative
Positive Behaviour Support (desirable)
