We are searching for full-time SEMH / SEN Outreach Tutors to join a highly specialist outreach service supporting children and young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference, working with students in the community rather than in a classroom. You’ll be teaching in homes, libraries, youth centres and other local settings, supporting learners with SEN / Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), trauma backgrounds (ACEs), and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
It’s a role that calls for creativity, resilience, and compassion.
What you’ll be doing:
Teaching Key Stage 1 to 4 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Adapting and planning sessions that are both accessible and engaging
Supporting students with emotional regulation, confidence and academic skills
Collaborating with therapists, outreach teams and families to support reintegration or long-term personalised provision
What we’re looking for:
At least 1 year of experience working in a UK school setting (mainstream or SEND)
Strong National Curriculum knowledge across core subjects
Confidence in independently planning and delivering lessons
A calm, empathetic approach and the ability to build trust quickly
