Early Years Educator/EYFS HLTA MS Primary within EYFS provision Hackney £25,000 - £28,000 Full Time A fantastic supportive school I'm working with in the heart of Hackney are seeking an Early Years Educator to start with them in September 2025, essentially this role is working as an early years HLTA. The duties of the role will be supporting EYFS and reception with intervention lessons and activity based learning, teaching in small group settings for children that display special educational needs. As the role is within early years the children could not have a diagnosis but could display needs such as autism, speech and language challenges, pre-verbal, non-verbal, global delay, EAL and learning difficulties. You will be working under the guidance of the class teacher and colleagues, encouraging children's development, independance, self-reliance and problem solving skills. This role will require you to be involved with outdoor activities such as swimming, educational visits etc, it would be beneficial if you already have first aid training. Some key work for the role would be: Oversee the introduction and settling in process for children and families into the school/centre, including initial home visit with parent and giving initial information on school/centre policies. Responsibility in planning, tracking and evaluating. Set individual targets and monitor progress. Carry out a full record keeping programme for each child according to school/centre policy. Be the first contact for key parents. Set targets and review IEPs, in collaboration with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). Personal care, with assistance from colleagues.
