Are you looking to build a connection with, inspire and help children with their education and future lives?

This is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in a career as an SEN Teaching Assistant! Whether you're just starting or looking to expand your experience, the school provides full training and development to help you succeed in your role. You'll be part of a supportive team that values its students and staff. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to lead classroom activities and outdoor experiences and supervise the children, making this a fun and engaging role.

The successful candidate will work with students aged 11-16 who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) issues, anxiety, challenging behaviour, and those who have a history of school refusals or time outside of education. The role is highly fulfilling as you build trust and a connection with the students while assisting them in a classroom environment. If you enjoy working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and learning while working with great people and students, this is the perfect opportunity.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • We welcome graduate and trainee candidates eager to join our team.
  • While previous experience as a TA or in a SEN role would be an advantage, it is not a strict requirement.
  • We do require that all applicants possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude and a strong ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

What You Can Expect:

  • You will be working with a friendly and supportive team in a school where you can feel valued and make a real difference.
  • You will get a chance to work one-on-one with a particular student who needs additional support, which will positively impact their school life.
  • The job offers school hours and holidays so that you can maintain a good work-life balance.
  • You will receive ongoing training and professional development opportunities while gaining valuable experience.
  • The school believes in high-quality and engaging teaching in addition to staff wellbeing, so you will be part of a team that values these aspects.
