About the ASC Teacher role

  • Pay Scale: M1 £32,407 to U3 £48,055 + SEN Allowance £2,384 - £4,703.
  • ASC Teacher - starting September 2023.
  • Take responsibility for the preparation and delivery of learning activities for individuals and groups of students.
  • Lead small classes tailored towards, ensuring you work creatively to inspire students.

The successful ASC Teacher will prepare, plan and deliver lessons to a small group of pupils who have autism and complex needs, and you will help to nurture them and help them to achieve their learning outcomes

The ideal ASC Teacher

The ideal ASC Teacher will be driven to succeed and teach children with autism and complex needs. You will have the passion and purpose to want to make a difference in the world. You will understand the pathways this teaching can represent to help pupils gain employment. The ideal teacher will be a passionate individual who relishes in all challenges teaching students with additional needs can have. You will have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE, SCITT or Bachelor of Education (BEd), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching or QTLS - Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status.

Ideally the school are looking for a teacher with previous experience teaching students with SEND, autism and complex needs but mainstream teachers are welcome to apply as with the schools outstanding CPD programme and specialist SEND training, this truly is a wonderful school to take those first SEND teaching steps!!
