Trainee ABA Tutor – ASD Teaching Assistant – Permanent role  - £17000-19000

Are you looking for a permanent opportunity as a ASD Teaching Assistant in a school where you can progress and train as an ABA Tutor?

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Verbal Behaviour (VB) is a unique approach to supporting children with Autism focusing on each student’s individual educational programme to develop functional language and communication skills

About the role as SEN Teaching Assistant – Trainee ABA Tutor

As a SEN Teaching Assistant / Trainee ABA Tutor, you will support children with autism on a 1:1 and small group basis usually in a class of no more than 6 children. You will help the Class Teacher to deliver 1:1 teaching and support. You will develop your skills working with students with autism and receive specialist training surrounding the ABA/VB methodology.

SEN Teaching Assistant / Trainee ABA Tutor requirements

  • Passionate about supporting students with SEND
  • Committed to personal development and learning specialist skills
  • Proactive and flexible
  • Ability to be a team player and build rapport quickly
  • Ideally a Graduate or someone with previous SEN experience either formal or informal
