Autism SEN Teaching Assistant

I am actively recruiting robust, resilient, and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistants for a challenging behaviour special school in East London. This school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with autism and complex needs alongside other learning difficulties. This school is the ideal environment for an individual that is passionate about supporting pupils needing a high level of care and up for challenge.

Geared up with sensory breakout rooms and calming rooms as well as sports and gym equipment to help pupils regulate, this school is well provisioned for students with a variety of needs.

 

The ideal candidate may be/have:

  • Resilient and robust - seeking a challenging yet rewarding environment.
  • Experience working with students with SEN.
  • Interested in building a career within SEN education.
  • A clear and conscious communicator
  • Experience with Team Teach is preferred.

 

This role would be ideal for those with support or care work experience with young people with challenging behaviour and autism looking to move into a school environment.
