Autism Teaching Assistant - Kingston

£85 - £95 PAYE Per Day

On-site parking with good transport links to/from Waterloo, Vauxhall, Wimbledon, and Clapham Junction

I am looking for an enthusiastic Autism Teaching Assistant to join our 'Outstanding' SEN school in Kingston. 

  • A specialist SEN school for children and young people aged 3-19 years old with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP); many children have Autism / Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
  • A safe and creative setting for students to learn
  • Small class sizes, up to 8 children in a class with 3 - 5 adults
  • Friendly and Supportive senior leader team
  • Working hours of 8:45am - 4pm

 

What to Expect - Autism Teaching Assistant

  • Working to ensure all students receive an inclusive education with therapeutic support, based on their individual social, educational and intellectual needs.
  • Excellent experience, training and progression for aspiring teachers and therapists

The Ideal Candidate – Autism Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working with young people with children and young people with Autism/ASC, complex needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) 
  • Have a genuine desire to build a career around special needs
  • If you have personal experience with SEN, you are welcome to apply!
  • Excel at building strong relationships with both staff and students
