The School

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with an all-boys SEMH school in East London that supports children with ASD who are unable to attend mainstream education. The children that require support are of Secondary school age. The school are looking for a Autism Teaching Assistant to work with a 12-year-old boy who has a diagnosis of ASD.  It is essential that these students have an Autism Teaching Assistant to act as a positive role model as well as good academic knowledge to provide lesson support.

About you…

The school is looking for a passionate, empathetic ASD Teaching assistant who genuinely desires to work with young people with SEN. Ideally, you should have experience working with ASD or working in a PRU as well as an understanding of trauma and the effect it can have on children, however, the school is open to hearing from those willing to gain experience in this field.
