Behaviour Mentor / Learning Mentor – Wandsworth, South West London

Temporary to Permanent, PAYE £450 - £500 Per Week

 

An Independent, Specialist day school in Wandsworth are seeking x2 enthusiastic and resourceful Behaviour Mentor / Learning Mentor to join their welcoming team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This Behaviour Mentor / Learning Mentor role would be highly suitable for aspiring teachers and anyone looking to develop their SEN experience further.

 

Autism Specialist Day School

  • A school for children and young people aged 11-19 years old who cannot access mainstream education due to their additional needs.
  • All students have an EHCP – High functioning Autism / ASC, SEMH and associated conditions.  
  • A Behaviour-based setting with students that require mentoring, emotional regulation and nurturing.
  • Small class sizes with therapeutic support for every child.
  • Friendly and Supportive Head Teacher and staff team
  • The school hours are 8:30-4pm (Monday - Friday)

  • Working to ensure all students receive an inclusive education with therapeutic support, based on their individual social, educational and intellectual needs.

The Ideal Candidate – Behaviour Mentor / Learning Mentor

  • Experience working with young people with children and young people with high-functioning Autism, SEMH, behavioural issues and related conditions.
  • Have a genuine desire to build a career around Special Educational Needs
  • Previous experience in both secondary and primary is a bonus!
  • Excel at building strong relationships with both staff and students
