Immediate Start

Do you have experience supporting young learners with complex and behavioural needs?

Would you like to support a small group of students and help them reach their full potential?

Are you a university graduate seeking a new role within a rewarding and fully inclusive setting?

I am seeking a passionate and proactive Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and ambitious team in Redbridge. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a small mixed class of complex needs students (ASD, ADHD, SLCN, GDD etc) and helping them to overcome barriers to learning. Assisting with personal care is a necessity of this role.

This team pride themselves in their child-centred approach that is compassionate and promotes teamwork, inclusivity, and progression. You will be paired with a ‘buddy’ on your first few weeks to ensure a smooth transition. I have visited this school and was truly amazed at how welcoming and supportive the team are. The students love coming to school and it was a heart-warming experience, seeing how the staff interact and make learning a fun experience. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team; from Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, SEN and Behaviour Specialists.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you must have experience supporting students with complex needs and managing challenging behaviour. You must be able to adapt to difficult situations and build/maintain strong relationships whilst enforcing boundaries.
