Role: Head of House/Behaviour Lead

I am working with a brilliant mainstream secondary school in Ilford who are seeking confident Head of House to support the pastoral team and oversee behaviour across the school. As a Head of House, you will be supporting class teachers with behaviour management strategies and overseeing plans across the school.
You will need to have strong behaviour management skills to be successful as a Head of House, ideally within a school setting. The Head of House must also be able to build and maintain excellent rapport with colleagues and students, as well as have a creative and innovative approach. You must be resilient and adaptable.
Responsibilities of Head of House
- Support behaviour within lessons and around the school
- Provide support with withdrawn students and supervise detentions
- Provide mentoring on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Be capable in investigating incidents and following the suitable safeguarding procedures
- Liase with parents/carers/external agencies
- Support with targeted interventions mainly focusing on communication and interaction
