HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant  – Specialist Therapeutic School – Reading - April 2022 or September 2022

Would you like to support young people in a brand new therapeutic school as  HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

Do you have previous experience supporting secondary aged children with SEND?

Are you a calm and nurturing individual who is passionate about student outcomes?

About the Therapeutic School

The school, which will open in April 2022, will specialise in meeting the needs of young people with social-emotional and mental health difficulties and neurodiverse children with SEMH needs. 

The school offers a therapeutic, individualised, broad and balanced curriculum. The school is committed to providing a balanced emphasis on their young people's educational, psychological, and social development.

What you can expect as a HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant  in a therapeutic setting

You will be supporting teaching staff to deliver national curriculum and project-based learning. You will offer educational and emotional support to the young people, focusing on developing them as individuals. You can expect to be part of a school offering exciting curriculum delivery where you will be able to motivate children and young people who face ongoing struggles with education and barriers to learning.

  • SEND experience is essential
