Role: Humanities Teacher

Location: Thurrock

Start date: Immediate or September 2024

Pay: £160 - £250 paye per day (fringe pay scale)

 

PRU Teacher

  • Deliver the curriculum to all students, adjusting the material should it be necessary to suit specific needs.
  • Responsibility for creating and preparing lessons.
  • You will be accountable for the attainment and progress of pupil progress.
  • Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment, keeping the school’s core value of mutual respect at the forefront.

 

Essential criteria for this role

  • Previous experience of working with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies.
  • Qualification to the equivalent of degree level in a specialist subject or a related subject
  • You enjoy using a therapeutic approach to teaching.
  • Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background.
  • QTS is not essential – but must have good teaching experience
  • Able to teach one or all of the Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies etc.
