Location: Ealing

Salary: £80 - £100 PAYE per day

Are you experienced in SEMH and challenging behaviour?

I am working with a specialist school in the London borough of Ealing, catering for students with ASD, SEMH and other associated needs.

The school are seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to provide 1:1 support to one of the students, closely monitoring and managing their behaviour whilst providing academic assistance.

This role will include challenging behaviour therefore the candidate must hold a strong presence and be able to control heated situations.

There are pupils within the school with dual-diagnosis, experience with Special Educational Needs is preferred but not essential, for this Behaviour Mentor role requires a good personality with willingness to learn is the most important thing for this position.

Resilience and adaptability are crucial.

The Ideal Learning Mentor?

  • The Learning Mentor must hold at least a Level 3 TA qualification or possess extensive behaviour/SEMH experience.
  • Will be confident de-escalating situations and challenging behaviour, whilst following appropriate protocol.
  • Excels in building strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A Behaviour Mentor must be passionate about working with SEMH and related needs and making a positive impact on student’s lives.
