CONTRACT TYPE: Long term         

PAY: £80-100 Per day

The role

I am looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant seeking a fantastic, new opportunity to work in a school specialising in SEMH needs. This school really believes that every young person has the right to the best possible education and a chance to succeed. Their vision is to deliver exceptional education and support for children and young people who have SEMH or autism and challenging behaviour. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be involved with the planning of activities, monitoring pupils’ progress, intervening when necessary, providing relevant feedback to the classroom teacher, and performing general teaching assistant duties. Working within an SEMH school can bring challenging behaviour and volatile situations, therefore, the successful Learning Support Assistant should be prepared to handle and deescalate these incidents appropriately.    

  

The ideal candidate

The perfect Learning Support Assistant for this role must have a genuine passion for working with young, vulnerable people and really want to see them achieve. You should be empathetic and have the emotional intelligence to support students who may be in crisis. Spreading positivity as a Learning Support Assistant is a must! Therefore, you should always be striving to put on a smile and be a positive role model! As a Learning Support Assistant, you should hold the ability to build a great rapport both with young people and your colleagues alike in order to produce the best outcome!
