Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a new role within a supportive and nurturing mainstream primary school? If so please read on!
I am working with an 'Outstanding' mainstream primary school that is based is Redbridge, they are looking for Learning Support Assistant to join their lovely SEN team! This role is based in year 4, supporting children with a range of SEN and mostly SEMH needs. In the afternoons you will be running interventions with small groups of 6, in the mornings will be supporting in the classroom. The ideally candidate will be experienced in supporting young people with SEN, someone who is firm but also warm and nurturing, able to deliver interventions and be academically fluent.
What to expect working as a Learning Support Assistant;
- Fantastic training opportunities working alongside teachers and speech therapists for anyone; she has recently been adopted and has attachment issues, as well as ADHD, for which she is on medication and looking to progress into teaching, childcare or psychology.
- Working in an 'Outstanding' mainstream primary school with an inclusive team
- To deliver maths and literacy interventions to students in year 4 who are working at year 2 level

Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant
- Previous experience supporting SEN in a school environment is essential
- An ability to provide a calming and presence while being engaging.
