Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. As an LSA, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with ASD, helping them overcome challenges, and facilitating their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to meet students' unique needs.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young adults with ASD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications (desirable).
