Mental Health & Trauma Qualified Teacher Position

  • South London Borough of Southwark
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 to 15:30
  • QTS - Qualified Teacher Status (Required)

Are you a Qualified Teacher looking for an opportunity to teach within a SEND School and make a difference in the lives of young people?

We are working with a fantastic school to find a teacher to work with KS3/KS4 in the London Borough of Southwark. Within this position, you will be working with class sizes of less than 8 students, with one of the key features of this role being that you will work alongside another Teacher, splitting the planning and lessons amongst each other. This means the role has half the planning, and each professional can choose which subjects each of them wishes to teach week to week.

Within this school, the students all have a diagnosis of SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) and are dealing with Trauma. This a rewarding role as you will build bonds with the students and help them overcome personal and academic development barriers.

Brief overview:

  • SEMH SEND Teacher
  • Co-Teaching alongside another professional
  • £30000-£45000 (depending on experience)
  • Location: South East London
  • SEMH therapeutic school for children with a diagnosis of Social Emotional Mental Health
  • Continued Professional Development - paid for (up to 100%) by the school
