We are working with a fantastic secondary school in London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to help them recruit for a Nurture Teacher leading a class of students with ASD/SEMH. This role has become available as the school are opening two Nurture groups for September 2024.

The ideal candidate for the role of Nurture Teacher will have:

  • SEND qualifications or experience
  • MUST have successfully completed teacher training (this role is not open to unqualified teachers or support staff)
  • To work and support students with a diagnosis of Autism through play-based and activity-based learning
  • To observe, assess and support students in their personal and educational development
  • Must have good behaviour management skills 
  • To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
  • To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.
