About the Role:
As a school-based Occupational Therapist, your mission is to help children thrive. Working within highly complex settings, you'll take a holistic approach, addressing individual tasks and empowering students to accomplish the things they need and want to do. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team, you'll provide intensive treatment services and engage children and young people in innovative therapeutic activities, supporting their learning journey and unlocking their full potential.
Requirements:
To excel as a school-based Occupational Therapist, you'll need a recognised Occupational Therapy degree, HCPC registration, and membership with the British College of Occupational Therapists. Solid experience, particularly with highly vulnerable children or those with complex needs, is highly desirable. While most opportunities are for band 6/7 OTs, we're also eager to hear from overseas-trained and newly qualified OTs.
Pay and Hours:
School salaries are competitive, although sometimes term-time only. However, the benefit of school hours, typically from 8:30 am to 3:30/4 pm, offers a great work-life balance. This flexibility is especially advantageous for OTs balancing family commitments or pursuing other projects.
