PRU RE Teacher - Croydon

Are you passionate about teaching students who are unable to access mainstream education?

Do you have experience working as an RE Teacher with young people who cannot attend mainstream school and have a background of behavioural challenges? Are you keen to make a difference in the lives of children and young people whilst building your experience and furthering your career in SEND/SEMH?

I am actively seeking a passionate Key Stage 3/4 Secondary RE teacher for a PRU based in Croydon.

PRU setting - RE Teacher

We are looking for an RE Teacher for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Southeast London. The school caters to students who cannot access mainstream education and sometimes have an EHCP (SEMH, ASD, ADHD). The students may have suffered adverse childhood experiences, including trauma and toxic stress and require an individual and holistic approach to their learning and support.

We support Education providers that educate children and young people who, for many reasons, cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at-risk and hard to reach in our community. Understanding their SEMH needs must be met before any academic development can happen. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles, and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact.
