Science Teacher  – Permanent Role – SEMH School in East London

Do you have a passion for teaching students with Special Educational Needs, inclusive of SEMH and ASC?

Are you gifted in keeping disengaged students interested during study and enjoy making a real difference to the lives of young people?

We are hiring a Science Teacher  in East London to work with neuro diverse students starting January 2021 or ASAP

Non-exhaustive list as a Science Teacher 

  • Deliver the curriculum to all students, adjusting the material should it be necessary to suit specific needs.
  • Responsibility of creating and preparing lessons.
  • You will be accountable for the attainment and progress of pupil progress.
  • Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment, keeping the school’s core value of mutual respect at the forefront.

Essential Criteria for Science Teacher 

  • Previous experience of working with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies.
  • It is compulsory you hold (or have in process) valid QTS/QTLS.
  • Qualification to the equivalent of degree level in a specialist subject or a related subject
  • You enjoy using a therapeutic approach to teaching.
  • Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background.
