QTS/PGCE qualified

ASAP or September Start

South West London / Merton

Daily rate in line with MPS and PAYE

8:30am - 4pm

 

This unique school provides holistic and therapeutic education to children aged 5 - 19 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and other associated needs. As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons catering to each child's specific needs. You will work closely with other teaching and support staff members to ensure that every child can achieve their full potential. The successful SEMH Teacher will have experience working with children with SEMH needs and be passionate about making a difference in their lives. You will be patient, empathetic, and able to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for your students. The Ideal SEMH Science Teacher:

  • Must have a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or QTS)
  • Be able to teach a mixture of GCSE and SATs Science - all children are working below age related expectations
  • Experience working in a special education setting with children who have complex mental health needs and learning difficulties.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be patient and empathetic.
  • Must be resilient and reliable!
