The School
Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with an all-boys SEMH school in East London that supports children with a diagnosis or SEMH or ASD who are unable to attend mainstream education. The children that require support are of Secondary school age. It is essential that these students have an SEMH Teaching Assistant to act as a positive role model as well as good academic knowledge to provide lesson support.
About you…
The school is looking for a passionate, empathetic SEMH Teaching assistant who genuinely desires to work with young people with SEN. Ideally, you should have experience working within a PRU or SEMH setting and have a strong understanding autism and social emotional mental health as well as an understanding of trauma and the effect it can have on children.
