  • Are you excited to make a huge difference to the lives of young people, whilst expanding your own knowledge and skills in the world of SEND?

If so, we have the job for you!

The Teaching Assistant Role

I am working with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in central London that are actively seeking a passionate, and engaging SEMH teaching assistant, who is looking to change the lives of the younger generation! This is a class based role, with children from primary all the way up to year 11 who are all at risk of not achieving their full potential. To overcome this issue, the alternative provision has implemented a number of personal learning plans, &  SEN strategies, to help make sure these children receive the best education possible! The staff work closely with children & adolescent services, to break down the barriers facing these children, and potentially impeding their education.

They are focused on providing basic numeracy & literacy skills, to support the transition back into mainstream or further education.

However despite how equipped this incredible provision is...they still need your help!

The perfect TA

The preferred person will have an absolute passion for supporting children's education, & in helping them believe that they can accomplish anything! Any and all experience with children with SEMH needs is preferred, but this experience does not have to be in a classroom. However any experience teaching Math's & English will be greatly beneficial.  We are looking for someone with the ability to build & maintain meaningful relationships, and most importantly, someone who is not afraid of a challenge!

What to expect?

In this role, you can expect a highly interactive, and collaborative environment. This alternative provision works closely with many external sources, all sharing knowledge and maintaining good practice.

Located in central London, you can expect an easy commute to work, and a work space surrounded by lots of green spaces, places to eat and more.
