At Parker Smith Inclusion we are working with a Primary SEN school in Southwark who are looking for an experienced teacher to take over a well established KS2 class. The school is committed to supporting children with a diagnosis of ASD and some may have communication difficulties, so the use of PECS and Makaton are highly sought after.

About the school:

The school supports primary aged children who are on the autistic spectrum. The class you will be teaching as a SEN Primary Teacher will have a variety of needs and abilities including children with significant speech and language difficulties, development delay and severe complex needs. The school require a strong but nurturing SEN Primary Teacher to provide the children with the best levels of education.

The ideal candidate for the SEN Primary Teacher role will have:

  • Valid QTS
  • Experience as a SEN Primary Teacher
  • Use of PECS and Makaton
  • Experience working with SEN
  • A genuine passion for changing a young person’s life
  • Strong organisation skills with planning and paperwork

Requirements for the SEN Primary Teacher role:

For this SEN Primary Teacher role, you will hold QTS or QTLS and possess relevant experience as a teacher in the UK. We are keen to hear from any teachers however those who have previously worked with severe complex needs and those with learning disabilities, we would love to hear from you too!
