We are Parker Smith Inclusion, an ethical, people-focused SEN recruitment consultancy. 

We are working closely with a fantastic specialist SEN School based in Watford, Hertfordshire. This school caters to pupils aged 2-19 with a diagnosis of Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and complex medical needs. This role will require someone compassionate, nurturing, and positive. While in this school, you will see some students who are non-verbal and have a wide range of learning disabilities. You will see these students be supported by a multidisciplinary team which includes qualified Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language therapists. You will also see the staff use different technics to communicate with students, such as Makaton and PECS, which you will have a chance to learn to further your knowledge.

The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, patient, empathetic, skilled Teaching Assistant to support children within and outside the classroom. The Teaching Assistant will not be found in one classroom with one age group; you will be based within different classes to ensure that all students get the utmost support.
