We are working with an SEN-specialised school based in Islington and they are seeking passionate SEN teachers to join their welcoming team in September 2024. The secondary site offers education from year 7 to year 14 to children with severe learning difficulties and/or Autism. Children will have communication needs and sensory processing, therefore will be working closely with speech and language therapist and occupational therapist which will give you the opportunities to work with other professionals in this field. The school prides itself on creating a fun and engaging learning environment where the children feel safe, happy and ready to learn.
The ideal candidate for the role of SEN Teacher;

QTS/QTLS

Be passionate about teaching children and young people with SEN
-
Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum and teaching standards

Have professional experience teaching children with SEN
-
Experience of using a range of teaching strategies to meet the need of all pupils

Have a caring and compassionate nature

To be brilliant teacher (mainstream teachers are welcome!)

Ability to work well as a team, but also independently on your own initiative.
