Monday to Friday (term time only)

8:30 to 16:00

We are working with an phenomenal school that specialises in support children with Autism, PMLD/SLD to find a SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs.

The students have been diagnosed with Autism and varied additional needs which include physical, sensory and medical needs.

The school is looking for a  nurturing person with experience in SEN to provide support for the students wherever possible in a classroom environment.

Ideally looking for someone with SEND experience in a school setting however care and support role experience will be taken into consideration when applying for this role as we appreciate that skills from these experiences are transferable.

Your Role and Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: 

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students, tailoring activities to their individual needs.
  • Encouraging and facilitating sensory-based and play-based learning experiences.
  • Assisting with personal care and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Promoting independence and life skills development in our students.
