We are now working with a truly amazing school in the London borough of Croydon. The support, teaching and senior leadership team all strongly believe in helping and supporting children with special educational needs as much as possible, and are now looking for likeminded SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team!

This is a role that would really suit someone who is not afraid to take on the more challenging aspects of the role, however it can be hugely rewarding and a really valuable experience.

University graduates, especially psychology or performing arts graduates, or applicants who have experience working with SEN would be highly valued for this role.

The school would also be more than happy to consider applicants who do not yet have experience or have not been to university – the main characteristics they are looking for are positivity and resilience.

Personal care such as assisting the children with toileting is a requirement for this role.

Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Personal care such as assisting the children with toileting is a requirement for this role

  • A genuine drive to help and support children with learning difficulties
  • A positive personality who brings that positive energy into the workplace
  • This role can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding and you will be working with a likeminded team who genuinely care about the wellbeing of the pupils
