Are you looking to work in a welcoming and nurturing mainstream primary school?

I am working with an outstanding mainstream primary school based in Haringey who are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN team. You will be working in Year 4 across the year group where there are 7 children with EHCPs, the needs range and includes ASD, ADHD, learning and cognition, Speech and Language.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role would really suit applicants with experience working with children with SEN in a school environment, however the school may consider applicants who personal experience with SEN, or who truly care about having a positive effect on the lives of SEN children.

What to expect working as a SEN Teaching Assistant;

  • Continuous CPD training for all SEN Support Assistants, including: Phonics, Makaton, PECs, Colourful Semantics etc

Requirements for a SEN Teaching Assistant;

  • Experience working with SEN is desirable, but anyone with a positive energy and willingness to learn and contribute is key!
  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting would be fantastic, however this is not essential.
  • An ability to provide a calming and presence while being engaging.
  • A bubbly and energetic mindset with a good sense of fun.
  • An ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
