Why is this SEN Teaching Assistant  role required?

I am working with a SEND school for pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and other associated learning needs. Based in Hampshire on the boarder of Berkshire, this beautiful school is situated in wide open fields across 3 acres of land, perfect for children with sensory processing needs. The school are seeking a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to join their permanent staff team as other experienced TAs progress in their roles.

We are looking for enthusiastic and positive SEN Teaching Assistant who understand the complexities of working with neurodiverse children and who have the skills and abilities to positively impact learning in SEND settings. You will need to be robust and resilient in your role and have a genuine desire to offer the best education to children who have significant and complex learning needs and behavioural disorders.

The school is led by their established and nurturing Headteacher who is integral to the support and wellbeing of their students and staff. They will consider those with no experience in this specialist setting, as long as you come with a positive approach and genuine desire to support neurodiverse children, you will be considered!

The children you will support will all have a diagnosis of Autism and will have severe and complex needs. If you are committed to making a difference in SEND and you have a talent for working with children who have complex cognitive development and behavioural needs, we want to hear from you!
