About the School

  • A mixed SEND school catering for Early Years – Key Stage 4
  • A curriculum aiming to challenge pupils academically and teach them valuable skills to become independent learners, preparing them for future education/work
  • An on-site therapy dog supporting the social, emotional and cognitive development of students

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Experience isn’t essential, but a passion for SEN and education is crucial
  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, the ability to form close relationships is a must
  • Must hold the desire to transform the pathways of students
  • Every day is different, as a SEN Teaching Assistant you must be resilient, flexible and adaptable
  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will act as a role model and mentor, therefore it is vital that you have good reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills.
