Your Role:

As SENCO, you will provide inspiring and purposeful leadership to staff and pupils, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. • Teaching and Learning: Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND. Collaborate with teachers to tailor learning activities that meet the individual needs of our pupils, fostering their independence and academic growth.
  • Staff Development: Lead the transition to the new SEND Code of Practice. Provide training opportunities for teaching assistants, teachers, and other staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support our pupils effectively.

  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Set challenging targets for pupils with SEND, ensuring early identification and intervention. Keep parents informed about their child's progress and work closely with them to support their development.
