We are working with an amazing SEN school based in the London Borough of Harrow, who are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging SEN Specialists to provide support to pupils aged 3 - 18 with severe and complex learning difficulties.
The school are looking to appoint an energetic, patient, empathetic and skilled SEN Specialists to be based across a mix of different year groups. As the classes are relatively small, being comfortable leading small groups or supporting on a 121 basis is important. Personal care is a requirement in this position, aswell as assisting with toileting and personal hygiene.
SEN Specialist Requirements:
- Genuine passion for working with young people who require additional support
- Experience in medical administration, tube feeding and communication strategies are great to have in this position.
- Empathy, patience, determination, kindness, caring, and having the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with staff and pupils.
- Anyone with personal interests in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, even having personal experience with SEN, such as friends or family members.
- A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
- A team player and has great communication skills
- Good timekeeping, available Monday - Friday, Term Time Only
