Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) - South West London

  • Full-time (term time only); Permanent Contract
  • NHS Band 5 or Band 6
  • NQPs are welcome to apply!
  • Working with a group of mainstream and SEN schools
  • South West London
  • £30000 to £42,000 in line with NHS scales
  • 8:30am - 4:00pm working hours

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)? Are you passionate about children's well-being? Are you interested in working in a specialist SEN school setting?

We are working in partnership with a local authority in South West London, and we are actively looking for HCPC-registered (or in process) Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) to join the friendly and supportive team as early as possible. 

 

Ideal Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT):

  • Must be HCPC registered (or in process)
  • Has a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Ideally has experience working with children and young people with special needs / SEN
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs / SEN
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who can build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents, and carers
  • A team player and has excellent communication skills
  • Flexible travelling to different schools in the same borough

 

Speech and Language Therapist's Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing both individual and group speech and language therapy services to children
  • Attending and contributing to staff meetings and Annual Review meetings
  • Working closely with the rest of the multidisciplinary team, as well as teachers and support staff
  • Providing a creative and nurturing learning environment where children can reach their potential
  • Being fully aware of the school policy and implementing Health and Safety Regulations, including Risk Assessment
